[011] Election and Cabinet Amendment

Applauding Delegate Huckabee for proposing very good ideas. (Damn you though I was thinking about this a while back ) This amendment hereby does the following:

Article I: Delegate Term & Election
This Amendment raises the Delegates term to that of 36 days. The new term will begin at the next election.

Article II: Congressional Term & Election
This Amendment decreases the Congressional term to that of 18 days. The new term will begin at the next election.

Article III: Cabinet
Realizing the crunch on nations participating in government cuts the Sec. OTI from the Cabinet and gives all of his authority to that of the Vice-Delegate. The positions of Sec. Def and Sec. State will be combined into the position of Chief of Staff. Being responsible for all Sec. Def and Sec. State duties and all same rules applying.

Quick question, doesn't Congressmen already serve terms of 21 days?

Yes I forgot to remove it completely since in the original version our term was increasing.

Whats the difference between 35 days and 42? If you are ok with 35 days, why not just add a week more?

I want it to be 30 days but I want to compromise.

36 then. I want the Congressional term to be half that of the Delegate. 36 is also halfway between that of 30 and 42.

Wait why are we decreasing the congressional term?

To be exactly half of the Delegate term. Otherwise it becomes more confusing and potentially the Delegate and Congressional elections can end up on the same day. It would also make the elections closer and closer to the Delegate election. This allows the Delegate two Congress's much like that of the United States.

Its a clerical change and doesn't effect the meaning of the bill so no I don't think so.
