Voting Policy Discussion

As WA Delegate, I am in charge of representing The United States in the World Assembly.
So far, my method of voting is to vote for whichever side gets the most votes amongst my endorsers since, after all, the promotion of democracy is one of the main platforms of The United States. My question is, is everyone okay with this method? Can anyone think of a better method by which I can more accurately represent the views of our region in the World Assembly?

Vote however way you want as far as I'm concerned.

A lot of regions start a topic on the forum (in this one would be your place) and require nations to post how they want the delegate to vote there. If you wanted to do that I wouldn't have a problem either.

I can do that. So far I've just been operating under the assumption that if people cared about the WA they'd vote and so I can judge popular opinion on voting. I might hold off posting individual threads discussing the votes until more people are active here. I fully encourage people to debate the resolutions currently on the floor as I like debates and I love the WA.

Also, I think one of the problems with requiring people to vote on the offsite forum is that right now often only one of two of my endorsers actually vote on each resolution. I think that system would work better if we had a bigger delegation and more activity. Idk if it's just me but it seems like I'm the only one that's even become semi-active that's not an old time NSer and a lot of the new recruits quit within a few weeks.

Yes there is nothing wrong with reading their votes off their nation pages now.

If we keep growing and you get 30 or so endorsers that might become a less realistic option though.

How didn't it work?
Obviously I'm pretty new to this whole delegate thing and I'd like advice from those with experience.

People just ignored it. I don't give a flying crap about UN resolutions but here is how I'll vote: General assembly: always no. Security council: always no, unless it was proposed by Daynor.

yeah, ppl generally just ignored it. There's so much pork bellying on the WA that nothing is worth passing completely...unless suggested by dayn...er...Topid of course, lol.

There was an area for a vote and discussion, and some good discussions did come from it, but then we just had a lull in activity.I think it could work so long as a good disucssion gets started...and i think that comes from more than just, "New WA proposal...what do you think?" I hate 'what do you think' questions.
